Video: Mark Cuban Sings "Purple Rain" Poorly...

Mark Cuban's NBA championship victory tour rolls on due to the lockout, which depending on perspective could be a positive or a negative.  I guess it depends on your ability to handle foolishness.

Check out the Dallas Mavericks' owner performing his own Karaoke version of the classic "Purple Rain" by Prince. I warn you that extended play may cause nausea and irritated bowels.

I'm not sure who's performance was worse, Cuban's above or Dirk's "We Are The Champions" rendition, but know matter how you slice neither guy should quit his day job.

Brand Jordan Video: Love The Game Featuring Melo, CP3, and D-Wade

Even if basketball isn't played in the NBA this year, Brand Jordan isn't going to stop making sneakers and commercials to pump their products and stars.  That's just how it is.

In the latest Jordan ad Carmelo Anthony, Chris Paul, and D-Wade partner up to get some run in wherever they can find it.

Check out Love The Game and let me know what you think.

Video: "Iron" Mike Tyson, Floyd "Money" Mayweather, and 50 Cent in Hangover Parody

The Hangover was one of the most popular films of the last few years, and despite it's success I still haven't seen part two. That has absolutely nothing to do with what you're about to witness though.

Boxing legend "Iron" Mike Tyson, current P4P player Floyd "Money" Mayweather, and rapper 50 Cent all teamed up for this spoof of the popular film recently.  Looks like 50 is trying to promote his new Street King Energy Drink to the masses.

Check it out. It's comic relief at it's finest! I heard this is just part 1. When part two drops I'll have it here for you!

Tyson clearly stills the show, but Floyd wasn't as bad as I anticipated. I'm not saying he's Samuel L. Jackson or anything, but at least he wasn't stiff and dry like his WWE character was a few years ago. Hat tip to JocksandStilettojill.com.

Soccer Video: Enraged Columbian Coach Spits on Referee

Soccer may be the world's game, but it sure does seem like they have more issues with sportsmanship than other sports.

In the following video, Colombian soccer coach Alberto Gamero takes aim at an official with a well placed lugie following what he thought was a poor call against Boyaca Chico.

Forgive the music. Not sure what the hell the song has to do with the clip.

Candy of The Day.....Shay Bombshell

You know I'm a fan of beautiful women and boxing, so what better way to celebrate my love for both than with the image you've been blessed to lay your eyes on above! I'm always intrigued by the talent coming out of the UK. This fellas is Shay Bombshell. She's mixed with Kenyan, Italian, Portuguese, and Arabian.  I think it's safe to say she's got the right equipment to go all 12 rounds and then some.

Video: DJ Steve Porter Creates "Duke Worldwide"

DJ Steve Porter just made my day.  Every one of his remixes over the last two years have been outstanding, and although the masses who hate Duke may disagree, this arguably may be the best one to date.

Check out "Duke Worldwide" courtesy of the Duke Blue Devils and DJ Steve Porter.

The video was part of Duke's 'Countdown to Craziness', which is the schools version of midnight madness. This was the third year the event was held.

Video: The Rally Squirrel Has His Own Theme Music...

You know they say every good hero needs a theme song, but I don't think they were referring to pesky rodents like the now beloved St. Louis Cardinals' rally squirrel.

The fuzzy little nut lover is bigger than Fred Bird these days in St. Louis, and his appeal nation wide is spreading like Paris Hilton's legs.

Check out this dedication to the greatest rodent in the history of baseball, the rally squirrel.

Candy of The Day....The Return of Lucy Pinder

She's been featured here as eye candy in the past, and as long as the 27 year old British model/actress keeps posing for the camera there is a great chance you'll see her again. I haven't the slightest idea who the blond is getting gropped by Lucy, but it's not like you care either.

Squash Video: World Record Holder Wounds His Brother

I understand that siblings enjoy watching each other suffer horrible and unspeakable pain sometimes. It's just part of being family I guess. I was fortunate enough to grow up an only child, so I never had to experience having a douche bag older brother or a whiny little brother or sister. Thank God for the little things!

In the following video Cameron Pilley, who just happens to hold the world record for hardest squash ball ever hit, dishes out a little brotherly love at more than 150 mph.

Dudes back looks a complete mess. I don't think there is any question that that's going to leave a nasty scar! I'm hoping that Cameron at least dropped his lil brother a lil dough to ease the pain.

NBA Video: Sir Charles and Reggie Miller Speak on NBA Labor Debacle

Fans are sitting on their hands waiting for good news after NBA commissioner David Stern announced earlier this week that the first two weeks of the 2011-2012 season have been cancelled. Don't hold your breath for good news, or you'll end up in the ER.

This is the time of year I get amped for the chance to watch Charles Barkley make an ass of himself on TNT's Inside The NBA.  When it hit me that I'll be denied the Chuckster's raw and uncut commentary, I almost had a fit. To quote the man himself, "that's just terrible."

In the following video Barkley and Miller weigh in with their thoughts and opinions about the current NBA labor mess.  Miller and Barkley make some legit points about what the league is facing as a result of the lockout.

NBA Cancels First Two Weeks of 2011-2012 Season....It's Just the Beginning

In news that isn't surprising if you've been following the NBA lockout, Monday Commissioner David Stern announced that the first two weeks of the upcoming season have been cancelled.  So what that means ladies and gentleman is that the NBA, unlike the NFL has dropped the ball.

The leagues owners and players were not able to reach a resolution after a reported seven hour mediation session Sunday and another emergency meeting Monday.  David Stern then swiftly played his cancellation card. The league postponed preseason games last week and at that time warned the commish warned the calendar was the enemy of both the owners and players in the work stoppage.

The National Basketball Association is in the midst of its second work stoppage in the last 15 years, a feat that the league hoped to avoid when they reached peace more than a decade ago.  The 1998-1999 season was cut short due to labor strife, and resulted in a 50 campaign won by the San Antonio Spurs.

With games originally scheduled to begin on November 1, the league will now lose 13 nationally televised games which were to have aired on TNT & ESPN.

"With every day that goes by, there will be further reductions in what's left of the season," said commissioner Stern on Monday.

It's been reported that the major rift in negotiations is still the revenue split for the two sides.  The players have been receiving upwards of 57% of the revenue, but owners are now asking them to accept 47%.  Derek Fisher has stated that the players have agreed to a take of 53% of the revenue to this point.  Talks of a softened stance on the hard salary cap by the owners was thought to have been a good sign in negotiations.

No additional meeting have been scheduled.  That's bad news folks.

I've gone on record, and will again right now for those who may have missed it previously.  There will not be an NBA season this year, and it's a horrible blunder by the NBA to allow such an irresponsible business collapse to occur.  Smart businesses are those that are able to properly forecast the future, and then adapt accordingly in a reasonable time frame. The league didn't do that.

Where were the eyes on this thing two or three years ago?  If the NBA had been as concerned with their labor problems as they were with getting in bed with ESPN to pump LeBron's free agency, then maybe we aren't talking about a lockout. While David Stern was wanting to change the basketball some years back and enforce new policies for on court player behavior, maybe he should have been working to fix his league's infrastructure. During the time that the focus was on curtailing the 'Allen Iverson image' and enforcing a dress code, maybe an examination of the bigger picture could have been taken into consideration.

The NBA failed to address what was critical to its success, that being the ability to maintain a good working relationship between owners and players, as well as ensuring that both parties are properly benefiting from the games global growth.

The owners are guilty of poor forecasting in regards to how the current CBA would impact them in the long term, which I find pretty unusual for big wig billionaire business men with high priced lawyers and financial advisers. Maybe they should hirer cheaper consultants next time.

The players aren't guilty of much yet, but if league owners find a way to spin public perception against them, they could face some fan backlash which for all intents and purposes could be pretty nasty. Players should probably limit themselves from engaging too much on Twitter and other social media outlets just to be safe. All it takes is one slip at 140 characters to change the game.

The bottom line is that the NBA is gone for longer than November.

Factoid's NFL Picks: Week 5 of 2011-2012 Season

Ladies and gentleman if you listened to Factoid last week you did pretty decent with your picks, as I was able to go 12-4.  I picked the Rams live on the podcast, and actually had that game listed as a victory for the Rams under the week 4 picks, however I made a change about two or three hours before game time and switched over to the Redskins for the W.  I just had a feeling that it may go opposite of my initial thought. Worked out well in the end.

Is it me, or is the season kind of flying by already?  The bye weeks arrived mighty fast.  I'm sure I can't be the only one who feels that way.

Anyway, here are your picks for week 5.

Philadelphia at Buffalo - Philadelphia Eagles
Kansas City at Indianapolis - KC Chiefs
Arizona at Minnesota - Arizona Cardinals
Seattle at NY Giants - New York Giants
Tennessee at Pittsburgh - Pittsburgh Steelers
New Orleans at Carolina - New Orleans Saints
Cincinnati at Jacksonville - Cincinnati Bengals
Oakland at Houston - Houston Texans
Tampa Bay at San Francisco - Tampa Bay Bucs
San Diego at Denver - San Diego Chargers
New York Jets at New England - New England Patriots

Sunday Night
Green Bay at Atlanta - Green Bay Packers (Must See Game of The Week)

Monday Night
Chicago at Detroit - Detroit Lions

NFL Video: "Teach Me How to Romo"

When things start going bad in Dallas fingers always end up pointed at Tony Romo.  The Cowboys quarterback takes more criticism than any other signal caller in the league, and in some cases it's deservedly so.

The boys are coming off a terrible loss to the Detroit Lions and the haters have been out in force this week as expected.

What you're about to see is a video from comedian Chris Paul, who shouldn't be confused with NBA point guard Chris Paul (CP3). Check it out.

Video: Magic Johnson Talks NBA with Jay Leno on The Tonight Show

When Magic Johnson speaks I tend to listen, even if his speech leaves much to be desired.

The greatest point guard in the history of basketball stopped by The Tonight Show and shared his guarded thoughts with Leno on the NBA lockout, Kobe Bryant's opportunity to play in Italy, and the whacky Ron Artest, AKA Meta World Peace.

I vote for the return of arguably the most epic late night talk show of all time, The Magic Hour. Now can you dig that?

Video: Former UK and NBA Player Walter McCarty Sings R&B

I had know idea Walter McCarty was in the music game. The former Kentucky Wildcat star and NBA role player has a new R&B album about to drop entitled "Emotionally". The first single from the album goes by the same name.

Take a listen to the wonderful melodic tones of McCarty and let me know what you think in the comments section.

I must say I expected it to be terrible, and in all honesty I've heard worse from athletes who want to be singers and rappers. McCarty isn't going to win a Grammy for his work, but at least he's doing something constructive with his time.

Video: 'Too Much MoneyBall' - Yankees Spoof

The new film Moneyball is doing quite well at the box office.  Just in case you weren't aware, Brad Pitt stars as Oakland A's GM Billy Beane in one of the most anticipated sports films of the last 20 years. I have yet to see it (shame on me), but I heard it was decent.

A cool spoof or parody always has a place here on the site, so with that said, here is Too Much MoneyBall.  It's a story of big spending in the Big Apple by baseball's powerhouse New York Yankees.

Video: Family Burns Tony Romo Jersey "In Good Fun"

One week you're the savior and the next a pariah.  That's the life of your typical NFL quarterback from week to week.

In Dallas though, the obsession with the Cowboys and the starting qb is a unique one.  There may not be a more scrutinized signal caller in the league than Tony Romo.  His critics are many, and they've been armed with some very damaging ammunition over the years.  Romo doesn't have a criminal record, but on Monday's he often finds himself  public enemy #1 in Cowboy Nation.

Take a look at how a fan reacted to Romo's poor performance Sunday. I caution you that watching this will make you dumber.

Go Cowboys!
