J.R. Smith has more than enough talent to be one of the best players in the NBA. The kid shows flashes of brilliance every now and again, but he hasn't been able to put it all together yet.
His Nuggets took care of business against the Miami Heat Thursday in a 28 point blowout. J.R. knocked down eight three pointers and finished with 28 points in just 27 minutes.
Smith wasn't just hot from the outside either. Check him out here as he takes Mario Chalmers to the rack and makes a sweet reverse layup midway through the fourth quarter.
If Melo decides to leave town, Smith would become the Nuggets most versatile offensive player. Of course that means Al Harrington would have to be shipped out too.
