Darko Milicic's career just hasn't lived up to expectations. Since being drafted #2 overall in the 2003 NBA draft, it's been all down hill for the 25 year-old Serbian star.
His draft class was full of legit talent. Three out of the top five picks are now playing in South Beach, and Carmelo Anthony will likely soon be on his way to either New York City or New Jersey. His peers are now NBA royalty, while Darko has been labeled a bust. Somewhere Joe Dumars is still kicking himself.
Check Milicic out here providing some comic relief for all NBA fans.
I still don't understand why Minnesota gave him such a lucrative deal this past offseason. You typically give millions of dollars to players who have earned it, or at least to those who seemingly will do so. Darko hasn't come close to doing either and in all honestly it doesn't look like he ever will.

I tell you why they gave him such a lucrative contract, he's white...
ReplyDeleteHe's a mediocre player at best.
ReplyDeletewell its not like hes a horrible ball player and shot the ball in his own basket. that could have happened to anyone. and he got a lucrative deal because hes finally starting to play to his potential. hes one of the better defensive centers in the league and hes finally learned how to score.
