Dwight Howard promised to be more serious this upcoming NBA season, so I'm expecting a new and improved Superman. Magic fans feel free to chime in.

Ken Jeong (Hangover Fame) hasn't seen a serious day in his life, so when I saw he and Howard teamed up for a new Adidas spot I couldn't wait to post it.

In the commercial, Jeong goes by Slim Chin, an apparent pimp with a fetish for the finer things in life, and Howard is his piano boy.



This performance isn't Grammy worthy by any stretch of the imagination, but it had me on the floor laughing for about 10 minutes.

My last post was a Blake Griffin highlight, and this one is too. Dude is beasting in the preseason, and looks ready to claim a spot as one of the most electrifying players in the NBA. All paint dwellers have been put on notice.

Factoid's NFL Picks: Week 6

Somehow I managed to miss posting my week 5 picks. Although I'm sure you could care less, I was 8-6 on the week. Through the first 5 weeks I've got just one week with double digit games picked correctly. That sucks big time.

Overall, I'm 44-32 on the season. Could be better, but could definitely be worse.

What is happening folks? I haven't been posting very much, which you already know. There's a lot going on at the moment. I just landed a new gig, although my supervisor hasn't called me in since Tuesday. Hmmmm. I wonder if that's a sign? LOL! I'm still working on the graduate degree, which keeps me busy too. Video: Laker Girl Possibly Concussed After Collision

Last night during the Kings & Lakers preseason game, one of the lovely Laker Girls took a massive shot to the head when Matt Barnes and Carl Landry crashed into her on the sideline. Her head violently smacked against a table and she appeared to be in serious pain. Take a look.



It's ok to laugh now, but at the time it looked like she might have really been hurt. According to reports, Ashely was a bit rattled, but soon returned to action.

She hasn't been placed on IR so feel free to start her on your NBA fantasy cheerleading team.

Tommie Smith Selling Olympic Gold Medal

Tommie Smith, former Olympic gold medalists is selling his medal from the 1968 games. Smith, along with John Carlos shocked the world when they bowed their heads and raised their fists for human rights during the medal ceremony in Mexico City.

The 200-meter star is auctioning off the medal and his spikes for $250,000. M.I.T. Memorabilia is hosting the auction which is set to end on November 4th.

Smith claims that he is selling the medal for the money, but more importantly he wants to share it with the public.

Now I was born at night, but it wasn't last night. Times are hard for everyone, so Smith shouldn't feel obligated to say he's interested in "sharing" the medal with the people. Just keep it real Tommie.

I haven't posted any hot links in what feels like ages. It might just be my imagination playing tricks on me again, and that certainly wouldn't be the first time that's happened. I figure all the beer I consume on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday nights has something to do with it. I'm sure some of you can relate.

Sports fans we are approaching the best time of the year. The NCAA & NFL football campaigns are in full swing, the MLB playoffs are kicking off, and the NBA & NHL seasons are just weeks away. What could be better than that I ask? I can't think of much.

The 2010-2011 NBA season is just around the corner, so we are scouring the Internet for hoops videos and news.

In this clip Kobe Bryant claims that he would beat Lebron James in a game of 1-on-1. That's nice and all Kobe, but NBA basketball is a team game. and the Heat are coming for your crown this year. Maybe the two of them can set up some sort of charity event after the season to see if Bryant's 1-on-1 prediction is right.

Hoops Video: Nate Robinson Dunks on Shaq in Practice

Nate Robinson has been playing the role of antagonist with Shaq lately to the delight of fans and bloggers everywhere. In the following video Robinson catches Shaq sleeping and slams one down. I love it how KG, Paul Pierce , and Glen Davis all stayed quiet while Nate executed his move. That's what I call teamwork. Hilarious.
