Track & Field Video: Usain Bolt and Team Jamaica Set Record at Penn Relays

This is a clip from the Penn Relays from last weekend. When we've posted track & field videos recently, they've been of Usain "Lighting" Bolt. That hasn't changed. Team Jamaica ran the 4x100 meter relay in 37.90 seconds breaking the previous meet record. Bolt's leg was run in a blazing 8.74 seconds.

I'm anxious for the London Olympics to see what type of show Usain will put on. Bolt is consistently brilliant on the track and there isn't a significant opponent to stand in the way of his dominance. Honestly, the Jamaican team is still riding the wave of success it achieved at the Beijing games. Bolt hasn't slowed down and neither have they. It's just unfortunate track & field doesn't have a more fan friendly television package.

Hoops Video: Paul Pierce Hits Game Winner Versus Miami

Paul Pierce has been one of the most clutch players in the NBA for a decade, and last night against the Miami Heat he demonstrated why he is definitely one of the top stars in the association. With less than a second on the clock, Pierce released a buzzer beating jumper that likely gave all the Heat players nightmares.

The Celtics were able to take a commanding 3-0 lead in the series versus the Heat with the win. Pierce ended the game with 32 points, 11 of which were in the 4th quarter.

Andrew Bynum Dunks on Nick Collison....And 1

Andrew Bynum is healthy, and that's bad news for teams in the western conference playoff picture. OKC's Nick Collison wasn't close to stopping Bynum on this play and unfortunately for the former KU star, he just got straight posterized.

The Thunder are down 2-0 to the Lakers, but we once again are able to provide our faithful followers with a sick OKC highlight. In game 1, Ron Artest got shook up by Kevin Durant, and in game 2 Lamar Odom fell victim to Russell Westbrook. Check it out.

Kyrie Irving is a top hoops prospect that has already committed to Duke, but in this short clip you get to see him demonstrate the quality of his handles and passing abilities at the 2010 Jordan Brand Classic All-Star Game.

Not only did he go between dudes legs, but he finished off the play on the other end with a sweet no look pass. Oh yeah, Irving was the East MVP too. The future is definitely looking bright at Cameron with this kid coming in!

Fordham Baseball Player Makes Incredible Play......

Thanks to my man Tony Reali, of ESPN's Around the Horn, I just saw this incredible baseball video from Fordham University. Brian Kownacki makes an amazing leap over the catcher to give his team the lead in a crazy inning of college baseball. The play by play is on point and walks you through it.

If you haven't heard, the news of the day is that Ben Roethlisberger has been suspended by the NFL for six games, and will be forced to undergo comprehensive behavioral counseling as a result of his recent legal troubles. Big Ben will forfeit roughly $2.8 million dollars during that period. The commissioner said the following:

“I recognize that the allegations in Georgia were disputed and that they did not result in criminal charges being filed against you,” Goodell said in a statement. “My decision today is not based on a finding that you violated Georgia law, or on a conclusion that differs from that of the local prosecutor. That said, you are held to a higher standard as an N.F.L. player, and there is nothing about your conduct in Milledgeville that can remotely be described as admirable, responsible or consistent with either the values of the league or the expectations of our fans.”

The Los Angeles Lakers walked away with game 1 of their opening round series with the Oklahoma City Thunder on Sunday, but rest assured the young upstarts from the Midwest aren't going away without a fight. Their dynamic young superstar Kevin Durant had one of his worst performances of the season, but on this play he found time to administer a lesson in offense to Ron Artest.

Hoops Videos: Lebron Throws Block Party Against Chicago (GM 1)

The Cleveland Cavaliers took care of business against the Chicago Bulls on Saturday afternoon, demonstrating the killer instinct that led them to the best record in the eastern conference during the regular season.

Taking a few games off down the stretch looks like it benefited Lebron, because he was flying high defensively against the Bulls yesterday. Take a look here as James denies Taj Gibson and Derrick Rose with his signature block from behind.

Mascot Falls off Dugout During Triple-A Baseball Game

Ok, folks this is comic relief at its finest. I couldn't stop laughing when I saw this clip and you won't either. This is easily one of the funniest things I've seen in my life.

The mascot for the Reno Aces, a triple-A affiliate of the Arizona Diamonbacks was clowning around with the fans and doing what mascots do when disaster struck. While demonstrating some wicked dance moves, "wolfie" took a spill over the side of the dugout. Check it out.

MMA Video: Dana White's Presser After UFC 112....Take That Anderson Silva

There has been a lot of discussion the last couple of days about the UFC's Anderson Silva and his performance Saturday night against Demian Maia. Silva is under fire for showboating, taunting, and not showing 'killer instinct' versus Maia during their five round bout for the middleweight title.

UFC president Dana White, who never shies away from expressing his true feelings, let loose on Silva during some post fight interviews, and even refused to award the champion his belt after the decision was rendered.

This isn't the first time White has been critical of Silva, but it's certainly the most vocal he's been in a post fight scenario.

Hoops Video: James Harden Puts Martell Webster in His Rookie Highlight Reel.....Dunk You Very Much

Rookie James Harden and the Oklahoma City Thunder are for real this year. The franchise is on the brink of its first 50 win season since the move to Oklahoma, and they have one of the most exciting young teams in the NBA. Harden, who was the third pick in the draft already looks like a grizzled vet with his signature lumberjack beard. The 20 year-old from Los Angeles took it upon himself to show Portland's Martell Webster why the Thunder were so high on his talent. Check it out.

Naismith Basektball Hall of Fame Class 2010

If you ask anybody who was the NBA's Batman & Robin they would have to say it was Jordan and Pippen. With all the crime fighting over and done with Batman landed himself in the Naismith Memorial Hall of Fame last year, and this year the man who stood by his side as Robin will also take his place among basketball's elite talents. Scottie Pippen leads this years very talented group of hall of fame inductees into history on August 13th in Springfield Massachusetts
Here is the 2010 Class up close and personal.

Scottie and Mike aren't the only great tandem linking back up, as "The Mailman" will join his point guard John Stockton. Karl Malone, who retired as the #2 all-time leading scorer in league history is arguably the best power forward of all time.

Jimmy Kimmel Mocks New Nike Tiger Woods Ad.....

Don Nelson is the NBA's All-Time Leader in Coaching Victories

Don Nelson passed hall of famer Lenny Wilkens on Wednesday night to become the winningest coach in NBA history. Nelson won game #1,333 by defeating the Minnesota Timberwolves 116-107.

The Original "Nellie" has been calling plays in the association for 31 years. I just turned 30 in March, so that should give you some additional perspective. Nelson has coached the Milwaukee Bucks, Golden State Warriors(2), New York Knicks, and the Dallas Mavericks during his years in the NBA.

Despite having won more games than any other coach, Nellie hasn't won an NBA title in that role. He was however named coach of the year on three occassions. Old school Celtics fans remember he won five titles as a player.

"It's just such a neat feeling," Nelson said. "This is probably why we end up coaching, for moments like this."

New Nike Commercial: Earl Woods Speaks to Tiger

The world has been anticipating the return of Tiger Woods to the golf course and tomorrow afternoon that wait will be over. Woods will tee off at the Masters around 1:42 eastern, embarking on a new stage in his life and professional golf career.

Nike, who was one of the few sponsors to stick by Tiger during his domestic troubles, has just released a new ad featuring the voice of Tiger's late father Earl.

"I want to find out what your thinking was. I want to find out what your feelings are. Did you learn anything?" Earl asks

Edgy? Controversial? Creative? Irresponsible? Feel free to fill in your own adjective. There are going to be various opinions about this new spot, but one things for sure, and that is that Eldrick "Tiger" Woods is back.

Hoops Video: Carlos Boozer Dunks on Serge Ibaka

The Jazz and the Thunder duked it out for four quarters and an extra session on Tuesday night, combining for 279 points. Jazz forward Carlos Boozer put in some work against OKC's front line, tallying 28 points, 15 rebounds, and 5 assist. This isn't about his stat line though, it's about his complete and total disregard for Serge Ibaka's health on this nasty left hand finish.

Duke Defeats Butler for 2010 NCAA National Championship

On Monday night the Duke Blue Devils defeated the Butler Bulldogs 61-59, in one of the more compelling NCAA National Championship games in years. During a 40 minute battle both teams scrapped and clawed their way toward the finish line, neither willing to give very much ground to the other. The game had multiple lead changes, and was as physical a game as I've witnessed on the college level in quite some time.

In the end, the Blue Devils and Coach K celebrate the programs fourth national title in school history. As you are likely aware, coach K is now second(tied with Adolph Rupp) behind only coach John Wooden(10) on the National title win list. Kyle Singler, who struggled earlier in the tournament finished with 19 big points and was named the Final Four MOP.

Hats off to the kids at Butler. Coach Brad Stevens did a terrific job with his team all year. They performed to the best of their ability on a grand stage, and should be applauded for a historic run and a tremendous accomplishment. I think we all look forward to watching them grow under coach Stevens in the years to come.

The video is via the AP. Cameron Indoor exploded when the game was over. Check it out.

Hoops Video: Rajon Rondo Buzzer Beating Layup & Cousy Comparison

Courtesy GoldLakerLion of YouTube Fame....

I can admit that when Rondo was coming out of college I thought he'd be a bust. I just never felt his game at Kentucky. Don't get me wrong, he was a solid floor general, and did his part to help Kentucky remain relevant in college basketball, but I saw him as just a good 'college' player. It's not like point guards haven't been good and failed to make it to the NBA before. I wasn't able to visual the next level in him, and that's obviously why I'm writing this and not scouting talent for the Celtics.

I only say that to say this. Every time he steps on the court nowadays he does something ridiculous and I'm reminded how I just couldn't fathom him having success in the NBA. He's made me a fan and it's actually refreshing to eat crow while enjoying the highlights.

Football Video: Joe Flacco's Pass Hits Camera Man in the "Man Region"

From what I understand, this clip is from a Kurt Warner football camp for kids. Footage of Kurt was not available, although I did hear he did a little dancing for the kids.

Expectations are going to be high this year in Baltimore, as the Ravens have added Anquan Boldin and Donte Stallworth to the receiving core in order to provide Joe Flacco with some weapons to stretch the field. During a little 7-on-7 flag football, one lucky spectator received an unexpected gift. Check out Flacco as his pass sails over his receiver and finds a home in the camera mans groin.

Breaking News!!! Pujols on the Move

In what could be one of the biggest trades in MLB history, it seems that Albert Pujols is on the move. The current league MVP has been shipped to Philadelphia in part of a 3 team 6 player deal. In this deal the St. Louis Cardinals send slugger Albert Pujols & pitcher Jason Motte to the Phillies & receive 1st baseman & hometown slugger, Ryan Howard from the Phillies & switch pitching prospect, Pat Venditte, from the Yankees. The Yankees will get a player to be named later from the Phillies as a part of this historic April Fool's Day trade.
