As soon as I saw this I immediately thought of Billy Hoyle in White Men Can't Jump. You remember the scene where he had to make some incredible shot to get Gloria on Jeopardy? Well, the hook shot to the Sudan is somewhat similar to Flip's deep toss here, except Billy's counted. Murray's was deeper though. Check it out.
