Milwaukee Bucks rookie point guard shows his hurt by not being drafted earlier in this years draft. He seems to be taking it out on everybody from the fellow rookies to the actual NBA franchises. All I can say is prove yourself on the court young man & make those teams that passed on you regret their decision. Until you actually do something in the NBA, just be quiet before you become the next Bobby Hurley.

With baseball season approaching its midway point, I though it only fitting to drop some classic footage on my peeps out there! Unless you have been under a rock for the last 16 years, you most likely have scene this footage before. The Kansas City Royals have been garbage for years, running through more managers than Superhead has rappers! Back in 1993, Hal McRae had one of the biggest explosions in MLB history. After being asked a "dumb" question, the Royals skipper completely lost his cool. This is still one of the funniest pieces of video I've ever witnessed. Enjoy baseball fans, enjoy!

U.S.A. Soccer Releases Tribute Michael Jackson Jersey
The late great Michael Jackson has his own signature jersey, thanks to U.S.A. soccer. Jackson was a fan of U.S. soccer for many years, so with his recent passing a jersey in his honor only makes sense. Jackson is displayed in a classic pose, and has jersey #5.
I don't agree with the price of 89.99, but hopefully proceeds will go to a cause that Jackson himself would have supported. I doubt it, but it wishful thinking. More information can be found over at The Spoiler.

I think his most recent Nike commercial is inspirational, and demonstrates how powerful the human spirit can be. I really love the song too!

Rivera Hits 500 Save Mark
I've never been a New York Yankee Fan, but even I have to give credit where credit is due. The most dominant closer in post season history reached a historic milestone last night, as Mariano Rivera recorded his 500th career save. Rivera has spent his entire career in Yankee pinstripes, becoming the teams closer back in 1997. Last night he also recorded his first career RBI versus the cross town rival New York Mets.
Rivera admitted that the RBI "meant more to him than the save".
“But don’t get me wrong, this is definitely special, being the second guy who does that in the history of baseball; it’s kind of special,” Rivera said. “But I’m a team player. My team fought hard today to give me that opportunity to be there. I tried to do my job. Really, all the 500 saves belong to my teammates.”
Rivera admitted that the RBI "meant more to him than the save".

Blue Devils Lose Talented Young Guard
Coach K and the Duke Blue Devils have lost talented sophomore guard Elliot Williams. The young man was granted his release from the Duke program Wednesday. Don't panic Blue Devil nation, Coach K isn't losing his touch. Williams has an ailing mother and will be transferring to the University of Memphis to be closer to her and his family.
According to Commercial Appeal, Williams will seek a waiver from the NCAA that will allow him to play this upcoming season, as opposed to having to sit out for a year as transfers are typically required to do. For Williams, the transfer to Memphis is a homecoming of sorts. The youngster was Tennessee's Mr. Basketball just two years ago.
Coach K is going to miss Williams for sure. He was able to handle the ball, slash, and knockdown the three ball. Elliot started 11 of Duke's last 12 games last season, and became a very important piece of the puzzle down the stretch.

The two heavyweights entered the octagon with much to prove, not only to themselves, but to fans of cage fighting as well.
Sapp had experience on his side coming into the bout, and many "experts" believed that that would be the key to him defeating the former WWE star. Sapp's been fighting in the far east for years, mostly in Pride and K-1 competition. Bobby Lashley of course is still a relative newcomer to the scene, but has garnered tons of attention from fans worldwide based on his wrestling background.

Earlier in the week, we posted a video about Bruce Manley. Manley was making some uber crazy trick shots from all over the court! The gentleman who shot and edited the footage, Thomas Litteer, was kind enough to let us in on the story.

R.I.P. Michael Jackson
Michael Jackson was one of a kind, and the world will never be the same without him. Whether you liked him as a person or not, his music touched everyone. Today has been difficult for millions of people across the globe and I find myself on an emotional roller coaster as well. I was born in 1980, so I grew up in a time that saw MJ become the biggest artist of all time. Jackson's legacy will live on through his artistry and he should be remembered for how much he cared about all people! The tears may not stop flowing for some time, but his spirit will persevere for all times.

Video: Fallon vs Woods
Jimmy Fallon and Tiger Woods battled on the Nintendo Wii early this morning in New York City. The game of choice of course was Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10. Fallon claims to be a huge video game buff, and was geeked at a chance to play Woods.
The two played two and a half holes before Woods conceded to Fallon.
"I just got absolutely schooled in my own game," Woods said after the showdown at Times Square. "I certainly want a rematch."

Old School Videos: Shaq as a Youth
The Diesel was thinner back in 1989 and Dicky V had more hair!
Shaquille O'Neal was the #1 pick way back in 1992, and the big man was a show stopper back then for sure. Coming out of LSU, Shaq was well on his way to establishing himself as a dominant force on and off the basketball court. That Orlando Magic hat was a little small though! Craig Sager had a normal suit and commissioner David Stern looks so much younger. How times have changed.

By now just about everyone has witnessed the incredible trick shot that eighth grader Aaron Shutway made a few days back. Jimmy Kimmel decided to put his security guard up to the task of making the same shot as Aaron in 30 attempts. I couldn't stop laughing as Guillermo makes an ass of himself shot after shot! There is no end to the jokes that you can make about this clip. Check it out. Viewer discretion is advised!

With the NBA draft just hours away the anticipation is building for all the potential picks involved. Blake Griffin and the subway spokesman Jared Fogle played a game of S-U-B-W-A-Y on Tuesday, or H-O-R-S-E in hoops lingo. Looks like Jared has a bit of a jump shot and may have taken a game or two from Blake, but in the end Griffin will be racking in big dollars, while Jared pumps cold cut trios and $5 footlongs. All this Subway talk is making me kinda hungry. Anyway, check the video.

Nike has updated their classic the Nike Blazer for the summer. The edition called the "Nike Blazer 2K9," hits stores next month & are probally some of the tighest kicks coming out this year. I can't wait until they release more colorways, but these are def keeping my eye for now.
Hull Going 2 To Hall
Former St. Louis Blue, Brett Hull leads the pack for the 2009 Hockey Hall of Fame. During his 19 year career, Hull ranks 3rd all time for most goals scored with 741. He won two Stanley Cups during his career with the first with the Dallas Stars & second with the Detroit Red Wings. Joining Hull in the Fame this year are Steve Yzerman, Brian Leetch, & Luc Robitialle.

Fresh Foot Work (Kanye West Teams Up with Louis Vuitton)
Kanye West is not only a music "icon", but he is also a shoe designer. The Nike Air Yeezy was his first project, and he wasn't happy just working with the top athletic shoe company in the world. Looking for bigger and better things, West has teamed up with Louis Vuitton to design his own signature shoe. The lineup is set to hit stores within the next month or so, and features both high and low tops sneakers. The high tops are called Jasper's, and the low tops are the Don's.
I'm unsure of the $, but it certainly won't be cheap!

I really thought the guy concealing his identity was some former mob figure, but it turns out it's just Blake Griffin's trainer. This is an inside look at Blake Griffin's ridiculous workout routine with mysterious trainer Frank Matrisciano. Griffin is the projected #1 overall pick in Thursday's NBA draft, and will likely end up in Clipper land. I sure hope that they(Clippers) don't screw up this kids career. L.A. doesn't have a great track record with top draft picks. Anyone remember Michael Olowokandi?

A reminder to all my boxing fans that EA Sports latest boxing game Fight Night Round 4," hits stores everywhere this Thursday. If some you were smart you have already reserved your copy at your local game store. Some locations will even let you pick it up tomorrow. I have played the demo & must admit it is way better than their previous efforts. While the demo only lets you fight with either Manny Pacquiao or Ricky Hatton, I hear its going to be overloaded with fighters from Mike Tyson to Jorge Arce. So check it out because this is a must have for all my boxing fans. Also if your a fan of MMA or just want an overall great game, then I suggest you pick up "UFC Undisputed 2009," in stores now.

Jim Brown Should Shut Up....Like Yesterday!
The legend Jim Brown has been rather vocal lately. A few days ago, the hall of famer stated that Donte Stallworth may have been more than just drunk when he hit and killed a pedestrian. Brown claims to have gotten the information from a reliable source who was close to the investigation.
In an interview scheduled to air this Tuesday on Real Sports with Bryant Gumble, Brown points out golf mega-star Tiger Woods as an athlete who's lack of work for social change dissapoints him.
"You know what's so interesting about Tiger to me?" Brown said. "He is a killer, he will run over you, he will kick your ass. But as an individual for social change? Terrible. Terrible. Because he can get away with teaching kids to play golf, and that's his contribution. In the real world, I can't teach kids to play golf and that's my contribution, if I've got that kind of power."

I realize that when Brown was playing football, things were completely different than they are today, and he was never afraid to speak openly about social and moral issues, but Tiger Woods is an iconic sports figure who already donates tons of money to charities. If Woods doesn't want to be the poster boy for social change, so be it. There are a number of top athletes who shy away from that spotlight, and I don't blame them. As soon as they take a stand there will be groups who want to crucify them, and who wants that type of publicity.

UFL Draft Good For Football
Thursday saw the official birth of the UFL, as the new professional football league held its first draft. If you haven't a clue what the UFL is, it's the latest attempt at a North American football league without official ties to the NFL. The league consist of just four teams, Las Vegas, San Francisco, Orlando, and New York. Those four team have 20 players already on roster, prior to the draft. Each team is required to fill a 60 man roster.
So the draft is more of a supplemental draft, with each team having the option of selecting 24 players that they can sign, if those players chose to play in the UFL. The remaining roster spots will be filled after the NFL does its final training camp cuts. A list of the complete draft can be found at ufl-football.com.

Wendell Bryant-Las Vegas
Chris Perry-Orlando
Brooks Bollinger-Orlando

Lamar Odom Presents: Crown Royal XR
Lamar Odom is a great teammate. In celebration of the Lakers latest NBA Championship, "The Candy Man" hooked up all the players and coaches with Crown Royal XR. The gift from Odom has a special embroidered bag along with a bottle of XR and is a nice touch to a great L.A. run.

I have always been a crown man myself, so Lamar gets much luv for dropping such a great present on his squad. I would personally like to see Phil Jackson, Andrew Bynum, and Kareem-Abdul Jabbar drink together. I'd bet that Bynum would be loaded within the first 15 minutes.
Chris Berman on Walk of Fame
ESPN's wacky and sometimes long winded Chris Berman is receiving a star on The Hollywood Walk of Fame. Berman, along with numerous other celebrities were announced today via The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce and its Walk of Fame Committee.
The Walk of Fame Recipients for 2010 include such stars as Russell Crowe(should have been inducted after Gladiator), Bill Maher, John Cusack, Adam Sandler(should have been inducted after Happy Gilmore), Mark Walhberg(as long as it's not Marky Mark& The Funky Bunch), Chaka Kahn(I thought she had a star already), Ringo Starr, and The Funk Brothers.
Berman has been a face on ESPN for as long as I have been watching sports, so I have witnessed Boomer slimmer, larger, on slim fast, and Boomer in every color Hawaiian vacation shirt there is !
The one thing that never gets old about Berman is his passion for sports and his love for ESPN. Sportscenter is a part of our culture, like steroids are to A-Rod, and without Chris Berman, there may not have been a Scott Van Pelt or a Stuart Scott, so let us rejoice along with Tom Jackson that Chris Berman is being honored.
Congratulations goes out to Boomer for going back, back, back, back, back to the wall to pull in that shooting star!
Jennifer Hudson's Fiance is a Pro Wrestler?
Jennifer Hudson, of American Idle and Dream Girls fame has a fiance that is a pro wrestler. It was news to me, but here is some video footage of Dawson Alexander in his first match in FCW. For those who aren't in the pro wrestling loop, the FCW is the equivalent to the WWE's farm system.

Stallworth Gets Off Easy....
I personally don't understand how Donte Stallworth is getting off so lightly for killing somebody, especially when Donte was clearly drunk driving. Stallworth and his legal team were able to negotiate a deal with prosecutors, one in which the Cleveland Brown's wideout will only serve 30 days in jail, and be placed on two years of house arrest. I thought this was a DUI Manslaughter case, not a misdemeanor for spitting on the sidewalk!
If you drink and drive, you are supposed to go to jail! If you drink and drive, plus kill a pedestrian, aren't you supposed to do a bid in a federal penitentiary? That's what I thought at least, but when you are an NFL star the rules must not apply! I still haven't forgotten about the Rams star Leonard Little, who has gotten away with multiple DWI's, including one that resulted in the death of a St. Louis woman back in 1998.
Mario Reyes wasn't drunk, nor was he driving, but he is gone forever at the hands of another irresponsible pro athlete. Stallworth's future isn't all that rosy, as he will still face a suspension from the NFL for violating the personal conduct policy, but even a suspension isn't good enough in my opinion.

After many years of speculation, it has been reported now that Sammy Sosa tested positive for steroids in 2003. Sosa is the second name of the 104 to leak off the "confidential" tests given in the early 2000's. ESPN takes a deeper look at the situation.

Kevin McHale Done in Minnesota?
According to Kevin Love and his twitter report, Kevin McHale is out of a job in Minnesota as head basketball coach. Love tweeted "that it's a sad day", and that his coach wouldn't be returning next season.
The Wolves weren't very good, but they showed some improvement under McHale.
No official word has been released by the team at this point, although Kevin Love seemingly has the inside track on the story. The Timberwolves will look to make some noise in the upcoming NBA draft, but the question is, who will be leading the ship?

Pacquiao/Cotto To Battle Nov. 14???
While boxing fans wait on the matchup of Mayweather & Pacquiao, they may have another great match up on their hands to keep them interested. After failing to reach an agreement to fight "Sugar" Shane Mosley on October 17, it seems that Top Rank & the Pacquiao camp have switched their focus to Miguel Cotto. Cotto, who won his last fight against Joshua Clottey, it what many will say is a fight that Clottey won hands down. The two camps are currently looking at a November 14 fight date, which isn't to far after the Mayweather/Marquez fight, which has been rescheduled for September after Mayweather injured himself while training. This looks to be the set up between the winners of the two fights for a match up in the begining of 2010. A fight in which many boxing fans hope to finally put to rest on who is the best pound for pound, Mayweather/Pacquiao. But before that can happen, the two would have to put down two very respectable opponents in Marquez & Cotto.

It's only funny when it doesn't happen to you, but everyone gets a good laugh out of the person who falls at the game. When I was at the Strikeforce MMA event last week, this guy fell up the stairs hard! Everyone in the section was dying from laughter.
In this clip the blonde to the left(behind Mark Jackson) takes a spill while cheering, but her friends keep it moving without her! The two guys never even acknowledged that she fell. Hilarious!

Video: Matt Leinart & Jay Glazer....MMA
When I heard that Matt Leinart was working with Jay Glazer, I thought to myself, this is a guy who wants to get himself killed, but I had to realize that he was just training, and not actually preparing to fight anyone. A huge sigh of relief.
After watching the video, it's apparent that Leinart is trying to gain an edge. Someone surely told him it would be a good career move, you know, may him look tougher. If he's looking for passion and desire, he has to look no further than the man who took his job. Those are things he should have never lost in the first place, especially considering his "Franchise" QB status.
I admit, just as the guys who are working out with him did, that MMA workouts can be brutal, so I unfortunately have to give a thumbs up to Leinart for stepping up and working out diligently.
It will be interesting to see how the workouts with Glazer impact Leinart's growth as as a QB, and more importantly how it impacts his success in winning the starting job in Arizona this coming season.
