Terrell Owens is a man that has an abundance of pride and competitive fire inside him. Sometimes that pride and fire gets the best of him during interviews with the press, so I was very impressed with the way T.O. handled himself during yesterday's post game press conference. I'm not saying that he was the easiest person to speak with, but the fact that he didn't give the reporters anything to twist was smart. It was obvious that he was upset with the way the game went, but instead of burying his team and the coaching staff, Owens played it cool.
Maybe his agent Drew Rosenhaus has instructed Owens to just be quiet this season. Maybe Owens realizes that his value will be higher next year if he doesn't say anything to bring negative attention to himself and Buffalo. Maybe, just maybe, the diva known as T.O. has grown up.
Your kidding right! He was screaming arrogance, like usual. You would not have to twist any thing he said. His exact words were " going with the plays that were called". So they told him that if looks like he may get hit, don't go for the ball. Yea right. I have been a Bill's fan my entire life and I am a women who has never played football, even I can tell when a player avoids being hit and he played with no enthusiasm. You must be a TO fan.
ReplyDeleteThank you Anonymous for leaving that refreshing point of view. Owens is notorious for backing himself into corners because of his mouth, but the media always finds a way to make him out to be the bad guy no matter what. In this interview he didn't give them any additional ammo. That was my point. To be honest, I was a TO fan when he was in Frisco. That is so long ago it doesn't even matter.
ReplyDeleteHe's darned if he says nothing and darned if he says too much. Some folks just don't like him but then again a lot more do. My advice to him is to just use his God given talent to the fullest and to remember what his grandmother told him...."It will be alright baby."
