The college football season is under way just in case you were in a coma or something and missed it. Early headlines are more about foolishness, than on the field action. Last night Oregon battled Boise State in a battle of top 25 teams and the post game action was far more entertaining than the game.
Oregon running back LeGarrette Blount lost his cool after the game in a major way. Blount sucker punched Boise State's Byron Hout with a vicious right hand that dropped Hout to his knees. The video footage clearly shows that Hout taunted Blount during the post game celebration, but LeGarrette wasn't able to maintain his composure. The NCAA came down on Blount today, handing down a suspension that encompasses the remainder of the regular season and any bowl games if Oregon makes it to the postseason.
That is a very stiff penalty for a fight, so I hope that Oregon will fight to have the suspension shortened.
